The best place for Bulgaria in the discipline history
The best Bulgarian snowboarder Alexandra Jekova ranked fifth in the women’s snowboarding cross finals at Sochi on 16 February. She demonstrated a fantastic form on the finals and was performing for a bronze medal. Slightly before the finish line the Italian Michela Moioli crossed Alex’s way. The champion is Eva Samkova from Czech Republic.
Jekova had an incredible snowboarding in the very dramatic second semi-final series. She ranked second after the Canadian Dominique Malte.
